Usudicu se reci, Biblija modernog vremena. Jednostavne, utesne poruke, koje ce vam doneti mir, obnoviti snagu i iz korena izmeniti vas svet i percepciju. Knjiga kojoj se uvek i iznova vracam.

I have had this book for many years. I have it in hardback, paperback and cassette tape. It is a wonderful book. My paperback is torn and tattered and so covered with margin notes and highlighted passages it is hard to read but I still loan it often. It is very inspiring.

Reading this book one time is like walking through a very large Smorgasbord where absolutely everything you could want is on the table. The value of this book does not become apparent until the second or third reading and the subsequent study of each section as it applies to you.

The Power of Positive Thinking really changed my life, I was on the verge of suicide, and found your book in a charity shop, it showed me that God cared and I only had to ask him into my life. I've bought four of your books since then and am now a prison chaplain and hope to bring enthusiasm and hope into the prisoners life as you did into mine. Thankyou so very much, and may God bless you.

I have read The Power of Positive Thinking many times and have reaped the benefits of Dr. Peale's effective plan each time. It is a magnificent book and should be read over and over again.

This book gives you the tools to feel positive very quickly. I was standing at the kitchen feeling depressed, used some of Normans positive thinking exercises and immediately felt better and continued feeling better for the rest of the day. This is a classic and a must read :) Louise T

Not for agnostics
Review written by: Janey From New York
I have been a believer of the Secret/the Law of Attraction for years and have read a number of books centering this topic.
Like Ember (a previous reviewer) wrote, it is very difficult for one to read this when one is not a Christian. I am agnostic (leaning toward atheist) and in no way am I being anti-Christian/ interested in arguing about religion, but personally, I would have preferred a book that didn't mention God so much. I went to Amazon not to review this book, but hoping to find a version of this with the same ideas (which I admit, are excellent) but expressed differently.
For example, the author recommends practicing the affirmation: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me," which can be accurately expressed in different terms without the mentioning of Christ. For an agnostic, it is just uncomfortable to force oneself to repeatedly affirm statements like that.
Also, I came across a line with very strange (at least in this age) wording, which substituted African American for "colored folks" or something like that. I checked the publication date and realized it was printed in the 1950s. Another thing that I found striking was on page 114, "A survey shows that church members live longer than non-church members (better join the church if you don't want to die young)"... really now.
PATIENCE.

I DON'T KNOW WHY I THINK IT TOOK TOO LONG TO GET THE SET OF CD's. BUT, I DO. IT SORT OF DIMINISHES THE HEIGHT OF ENTHUSIASM. HOWEVER, I'VE STARTED LISTENING TO THE CD's AND THEY SOUND IN GOOD ORDER.
Yes, It Talks About God...AND???
Review written by: T. Harris From Charlotte, NC
this book is very ideal for knowing what can help your mind make a positive turn for the better. it has a positive and warm tone throughout so that it doesnt come off as religiously offensive. even if it did, it talks about the same 'power source' that most of these books that have emerged recently. and you can give that 'higher power' any other name but all in all it's a reference to GOD--the source of all happiness! This is a definite keeper to reference and read over and over again. Apologies to those who got the mini version. my version was much larger and came with an additional book within it--The Results of Positive Thinking.
A WONDERFUL INSPIRATIONAL BOOK FROM A WONDERFUL INSPIRATIONAL MAN
Review written by: Faith From
He might be gone but certainly not forgotten. This book is simply amazing in every sense of the word. It is very uplifting and inspirational and has made a profound difference in my life. I am happier, hopeful, and living more of life rather than worrying about life. Mr. Peale was a wonderful man with a true gift and the world is at a loss without him but his legacy still lives on in this wonderful work. The man lived it and believed it and so will you when you read it. I promise you won't be disappointed when you read this book. You can't help but feel good and feel closer to God while having this book in your hands. Thank you Mr. Peale and thank you for your contribution to this world. It is a better place for having known you.
You Can Achieve Anything if You Have Faith.
Review written by: Jusuf Hariman From Australia
Peale believes that if you master faith, you will automatically master fear. By mastering fear, if you so choose, you can have prosperity. This book is written with deep concern for the pain, struggles and difficulty of human existence. It teaches positive thinking, not as a means to fame, riches or power, but as a practical application of faith to overcome defeat and accomplish worthwhile creative values in life. Peale's theme was that we don't have to depend on ourselves; there is an incredible sources of power open to us if we only believe in their existence. To take 3 examples: (1). "According to your faith be it unto you" (Matthew 9:24); (2). "If God is for us, who can be against us "(Roman 8:31); and (3). "If thou can believe, all things are possible to him that believeth" (Mark 9:23). There are a lot of useful tips in this book. For example: (1). Peale's prayer power is "Prayerise, Picturise, Actualise"; (2). "Doubt closes the power of flow. Faith Opens it"; and (3). "Discover that the rough is only mental".
